Set planning

Strength and conditioning software with planned vs. actual per set

A program is split into sections and exercises from the exercise library, each with its sets. A section runs as standard, superset, circuit, interval, EMOM or AMRAP, optionally from a template such as “Tabata 8×20/10” or one of your own. For each exercise you choose from around 40 parameters what counts, such as reps, load, %1RM, rest, tempo, RPE or RIR, and enter the values for every set.

The athlete logs what they actually did, while your prescription stays right next to it. Every set has an outcome, whether completed, failed, assisted, partial or not attempted, and can be marked as a warm-up set. That way you see where plan and training part ways instead of reconstructing it from memory.

  • More than 1,600 exercises, including strength, Olympic lifting and mobility
  • Methodologies fill in sets, reps and rest as a template
  • With Pro, one program to up to 20 athletes, the same or adjusted
  • Export programs as PDF and CSV (for Excel)

Maximal strength and 1RM

Percentages based on a 1RM that is up to date

The 1RM follows a fixed rule: the highest value of the last 183 days, roughly six months, counts. If there is none, Tletify uses the older one and flags it as outdated. Values come from performance tests or from training sets of up to 12 reps, estimated with Epley or Brzycki. The editor converts %1RM prescriptions to kg right away.

When an athlete sets a new max, Tletify shows you the affected sessions with the old and the new value, and you accept or reject the proposal. If the 1RM is outdated, you get a recommendation to retest. If a measured value drops below 90 % of the previous one, you are notified; estimates from training do not trigger this.

  • 1RM derived from related exercises (33 ratios), never as a fixed kg value
  • 23 strength tests, including 1RM, 3RM, 5RM, IMTP and grip strength
  • Maximal tests locked for athletes under 16

Workout mode

Train in the app set by set, with the target already filled in

With “Start workout” the athlete sees one set per screen in the app. Planned values are already in the field, so they confirm or change them instead of typing. Rest runs as a full-screen countdown, and circuits, intervals, EMOM and AMRAP have their own clock. Next to each set they see what they did in the same exercise last time.

Depending on your coach profile, the athlete rates effort per set as RPE or RIR. If a load is far above the personal best, the app asks for confirmation, and for the next set there is a suggested load, offered only as an option. At the end they rate intensity and satisfaction and, if needed, film a set as a technique video of up to 12 seconds.

  • Works offline once the program has been opened online
  • Suggestion to reduce load on low readiness, never automatic
  • Several athletes in one workout, for example in small-group training
Coach analysis in the app: 30-day period, average readiness and team readiness trend
Load monitoring

Tonnage, sRPE and progress, analyzed for the coach

From completed sets and sessions Tletify calculates two load axes that are never mixed: the mechanical one with tonnage in kg and ground contacts, and the metabolic one with sRPE, meaning duration in minutes times RPE, in AU. Warm-up, failed and not-attempted sets do not count; assisted sets count toward tonnage but not toward personal bests.

With Pro and your athletes' permission you also see the acute:chronic workload ratio (ACWR), monotony, strain and the form curve, plus e1RM trends, volume, muscle distribution and plan versus actual in the analysis, for several athletes side by side if you like. Your athletes never see these metrics. More on training load management.

  • With too little data you see “not enough data” instead of a number
  • Result filters, for example every squat at 100 kg or more
  • Weekly report per athlete as a PDF on demand

Questions and answers

Does Tletify support velocity-based training?

Not with measuring devices: there is no connection to encoders or other Bluetooth sensors. You control intensity through load, %1RM, RIR or RPE, and the 1RM rule makes sure percentages are based on a current value.

Can I bill my clients as a personal trainer?

Yes, with Pro. You issue invoices, including recurring ones, and track your time. With a connected Stripe account you set a price for a program and the athlete pays online. Paid programs go only to athletes connected with you; there is no public marketplace. Prices are listed on features and prices.

Does Tletify work for a gym with several coaches?

Yes, through the Team subscription with Pro slots for coaches and Basic slots for athletes: 1 to 10 Pro and 3 to 50 Basic slots, starting at €93 per month. You assign and release slots centrally; which data a coach sees is decided by each athlete through their permissions. Details on Tletify for teams.

How reliable is the 1RM estimate?

Tletify estimates the 1RM with Epley or Brzycki only from sets of up to 12 reps, because the estimate becomes imprecise beyond that. Depending on how certain the value is, the prescription is a load in kg, a range of ±5 % or effort only. The formulas are checked against reference cases from the literature.
