The daily check

Four questions on a scale from 1 to 5

The daily check consists of four questions: sleep quality, energy level, muscle soreness and mood. You answer each one on a row of boxes from 1 to 5. In the app, the ends of the scale are labeled, for example from “Very poor” to “Excellent” for sleep and from “Severe” to “None” for muscle soreness.

If you like, add a comment and context tags such as travel, recent competition, external stress or irregular eating. Tletify suggests travel, competition and training from the calendar. A tag for the menstrual cycle can be switched on in the settings.

You turn on the daily check in the settings. After that, a button appears in the header of the web app, and the app reminds you once a day from 10 a.m. local time with a push notification. If you forget a day, you can fill it in up to one day later; without a connection, the app saves the check and sends it once it is back online.

Readiness score

How Tletify calculates athlete readiness

The four answers produce a readiness value from 0 to 100. If a watch is connected, its data counts for 55 percent and the daily check for 45 percent. Tletify compares the watch values with the athlete's own baseline once 7 days of data are available for a value; before that, with reference values and lower confidence.

A missing daily check is no value and is never counted as 0, so charts show a gap instead of a drop. Without a watch, readiness comes from the daily check alone, and the app then points out that a smartwatch makes the score more accurate.

  • Sleep quality 30%, energy level 25%, muscle soreness 25%, mood 20%
  • Watch part: HRV 35%, resting heart rate 25%, sleep 25%, blood oxygen 15%

Watch data

Watch data through Apple Health and Health Connect

If you wear a watch, connect Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android under Profile → Wearable in the app. Only then does the app ask for permissions and consent. It reads only the values you allow on the device and transfers only those.

Tletify receives one value per day for resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) with its measure type SDNN or RMSSD, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, sleep duration with deep, REM and light sleep, and steps. Syncing runs when you open the daily check or the wearable settings and reaches back up to 30 days.

  • Missing watch values count as no value, never as 0
  • An estimated resting heart rate stays on the phone
  • No direct connection to watch brands

For coaches

Permissions, team overview and reports to the coach

You only see an athlete's daily check if they explicitly grant you permission. Permissions exist only between confirmed contacts, and the athlete can revoke them at any time. With Pro or Team, you get the Daily check page with a team overview, a column for watch data and each athlete's history.

With “Report to coach,” the athlete reports pain with its zone and intensity from 1 to 5, opens an injury directly from it or reports an illness, and you are notified. Context tags, on the other hand, trigger no notification. The daily check is a self-report and does not replace a medical assessment.

Based on readiness, Tletify can suggest lowering the load in a program, for example by 10 percent; it never happens automatically. How the daily check and training load fit together is shown on the training load management page.

Questions and answers

What questions does the daily check ask?

Four: sleep quality, energy level, muscle soreness and mood, each on a scale from 1 to 5. You can add a comment and tags such as travel or external stress. Pain and illness are reported directly to your coach in the same step.

Does my coach see my data automatically?

No. Your coach only sees your daily check once you grant the daily check permission. This works only between confirmed contacts, and you can revoke it at any time under Settings → Permissions. You see your own values on your dashboard.

Which watches work with Tletify?

Tletify reads daily values from Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, through the Tletify app and only with your permission. There is no direct connection to individual watch brands. Recordings of single sessions can be uploaded with Pro on a computer as FIT or GPX files.

Do I need the app for the daily check?

You can complete it in the app or in the browser. For watch data and push reminders, you need the app for iPhone or Android. It arrives in the stores with the public launch on 1 January 2027; before that it is only available to test users, and you can apply on the pre-order page.

Can I see all my athletes at a glance as a coach?

Yes, with Pro or Team. The Daily check page shows every athlete who has granted you permission in a team overview with watch data and history. In the app, the coach overview shows your athletes' average readiness. Plans and prices are on the features and prices page.
