Test catalog

About 150 tests in the catalog, from strength to endurance

The test catalog covers strength, power and speed, endurance, mobility, balance and landing, and agility with changes of direction. It ranges from 1RM squat, deadlift and bench press to sprints from 5 to 100 m, countermovement and drop jumps, and the Cooper test, Yo-Yo test and 30-15 IFT.

Catalog tests are fixed: settings and result parameters cannot be changed, so results stay comparable over time and between athletes. Test names are stored in English, German and Italian. If a test is missing, you create your own catalog test or record a free test.

  • Strength: 1RM, 3RM, 5RM, isometric tests, grip strength, strength endurance
  • Sprints from 5 to 100 m, flying sprints and the 40-yard dash
  • Jumps: CMJ, SJ, Abalakov, drop jump with contact time and RSI
  • Endurance: Cooper, Yo-Yo, beep test, Bronco, 30-15 IFT, rowing, swimming
  • Agility: T-test, 5-10-5, Illinois, 505, Arrowhead

Set up and measure

One test for several athletes and exercises, with measurement series

A test can include several exercises and several athletes. The definition applies to everyone or differs per athlete, and several definitions form one test session with a shared title. Setting and result are kept apart: in a 1RM test, one repetition is the setting and the load is the result. Results without a parameter work too, as a score, percentage or level.

For each test you record date, time, duration, location with map, wind and temperature. Enter measurement series such as split times or jump series directly. Import timing gate files as CSV or TXT from Microgate (including Witty and Optojump), Brower and Freelap, or in a generic format. With several participants, you get a ranking.

Performance profile

Personal bests and 1RM in every athlete's profile

Most catalog tests write their result into the athlete's performance profile in the body profile. It holds maximal strength (1RM) per exercise, personal bests, FTP, maximum and threshold heart rate, threshold pace and critical swim speed (CSS). There is no test for threshold heart rate or CSS; you enter those values by hand.

The 1RM follows a fixed rule: the highest value from the last 183 days, about six months, counts. If there is none, the older value applies and is marked as outdated. A value entered by hand restarts the window. From training sets of up to 12 reps, Tletify estimates the 1RM with the Epley or Brzycki formula, optionally including RIR.

  • Alert to authorized users when a measured value drops below 90% of the previous one
  • Maximal tests with load locked for athletes under 16

Tests and planning

Connect athlete performance testing with your training plan

Tests appear as points in the macrocycle and as entries in the weekly calendar. You can load measurable objectives from the cycle as test targets. When an athlete reaches an objective in a test, Tletify detects it and notifies athlete and coaches.

A new maximum affects the plan: Tletify shows you the affected sessions with the old and new value, and you accept or decline the proposal. The editor converts %1RM prescriptions into kg; if the 1RM is outdated, Tletify recommends a retest. See how tests and programs connect in training planning.

Questions and answers

Which performance tests are in the test catalog?

About 150 tests covering strength, power and speed, endurance, mobility, balance and landing, and agility, for example 1RM squat, countermovement jump, flying 30 m sprint, Yo-Yo test or T-test. Tests are not tied to a sport; you choose them by name.

Can I import timing gate data?

Yes. Tletify reads timing gate files in CSV or TXT format from Microgate (including Witty and Optojump), Brower and Freelap, plus a generic format. There is no direct connection to the device; you upload the exported file.

How does Tletify determine the 1RM?

The highest value from the last 183 days counts; if there is none, the older value applies and is marked as outdated. Without a max test, Tletify estimates the 1RM from sets of up to 12 reps using Epley or Brzycki. Depending on how reliable the estimate is, the editor prescribes load in kg, a range of ±5% or effort only.

Can athletes see each other's results?

No. In tests with several participants, you as the coach see the ranking, while each athlete sees only their own values. Assigning tests to athletes requires Pro or Team; see features and prices.

When can I run tests with Tletify?

From the public launch on 1 January 2027, in the browser and in the apps for iPhone and Android. Until then, you can join the waitlist or apply as a beta tester in the preorder.
